As Williamstown Theatre Festival’s 2019 Foeller Fellow, Katie Lindsay directed a production of the play Orlando, adapted by Sarah Ruhl from Virginia Woolf’s novel of the same name. I created the poster for the play, which features a vector illustration of the gender-fluid protagonist lounging under winding tree reminiscent of the production’s set design. I designed three versions of the poster using different colors to allude to the show’s focus on the ever-changing performance and appearance of gender.
